The flights are set to take-off in a calibrated manner from Monday (May 25). Explaining the fare, the secretary said, "Midpoint of Rs 3500 and Rs 10,000 is Rs 6700. Therefore, 40 per cent of the seats have to be sold at a price of Rs 6700. This is how we're ensuring that fares don't go out of control." Speaking about social distancing, the Aviation Minister said that social distancing requirement is not met even if middle seats in flights are kept vacant, so they will fill up middle seats. He also added that passengers who don't have Aarogya Setu app can give self-declaration form. In the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), the Airports Authority of India has advised passengers to reach the airport 2 hours prior to departure. It has also asked passengers to install the Aarogya Setu mobile app without which they won't be allowed entry into the terminal building.
